New year's, for many, is a time to make resolutions. Me? I have always resolved NOT to make resolutions. Instead, I incorporate little changes into my life on a small, manageable scale so I'm less likely to stick to them.
Over the years, these changes have involved things for a better planet (eliminating plastic and chemicals), a better economy (shopping local), and better health (non-processed foods, homemade cleaners...)
But still it feels there's something missing. Balance. It's the one change that's vitally important to all the others. Without balance, we stumble and fall. Without balance, our world can topple. So this year, going against my natural adversity for making resolutions, I'm resolving to seek balance: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and creative.
It's been two years since I've posted here; two years since I've consciously realized how much I'm missing balance in my life. How many of us feel the same? We are over-worked, over-stressed, over-scheduled. We forget to look at the sunrises, stop to admire a flower sparkling with dew, or take in the scent of a crisp winter's day and fill our lungs with purity. So stop, my friends! Find the balance you need to live fully and unabashedly in the moment and I'll meet you in the dance. Happy New Year's!
